By purchasing merchandise, placing a custom order, or engaging our interior design services, you agree to the following terms.

1. Antique & Vintage Merchandise

All antique, vintage, and one-of-a-kind items are sold as-is. Due to the nature of antiques, items may show signs of age, wear, prior restoration, or minor imperfections consistent with their history and character — these are not defects and do not qualify for return or refund. We encourage in-person inspection prior to purchase whenever possible.

Provenance and age information is provided in good faith based on available research, expert opinion, and industry knowledge, but is not guaranteed as a certified appraisal unless explicitly stated in writing.

2. Sales & Payment

  • Full payment is due at time of purchase unless other arrangements are made in writing.

  • We accept major credit cards, ACH transfers, and checks.

  • Prices are subject to change without notice until an order is confirmed and payment is received.

  • Sales tax will be applied per Tennessee state and local requirements unless a valid resale/tax-exemption certificate is provided.

3. Deposits & Custom / Special Orders

  • Custom orders, holds, and special-order items require a non-refundable deposit of 100% at the time of order.

  • Additional shipping charges may apply.

  • Because custom and special-order pieces are sourced or made specifically for you, these orders cannot be cancelled once placed and deposits will not be refunded.

4. Returns & Exchanges

Given the unique, one-of-a-kind nature of our inventory, all sales are final. We do not offer returns, exchanges, or refunds on completed purchases, except where required by law or where a piece is found to be materially misrepresented at time of sale.

Any concerns about an item must be reported in writing within 72 hours of receipt or pickup.

5. Shipping, Delivery & Pickup

  • For all items not shipped via Fedex, the buyer is responsible for arranging shipping, freight, or delivery unless otherwise agreed in writing.

  • We are happy to recommend trusted local delivery and white-glove shipping providers, but we are not responsible for damage that occurs once an item leaves our care and is in the hands of a third-party carrier.

  • Local delivery, where offered, will be scheduled directly with our team; additional delivery fees may apply based on distance, access, and item size.

  • Buyer should inspect items upon delivery/pickup and note any concerns immediately.

6. Interior Design Services

Design services (furnishings, project management, and installation) are governed by a separate signed design agreement outlining scope, fees, and timeline.

7. Limitation of Liability

Robin Rains Interior Design + Antiques is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from the purchase, use, delivery, or installation of any item or service. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount paid for the specific item or service in question.

8. Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Tennessee. Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts of Davidson County, Tennessee.
